In 2012, designer Irene Peukes created Pla, which is not only a brand of shoes but a way of understanding life, work and fashion. Pla’s leitmotif is more hands and less machines. Irene creates her collections manually with sustainable materials, respecting the people involved in their manufacture, giving value to manual work and being inspired by a new way of understanding craftsmanship. Pla offers a collection of shoes and sandals in addition to garments and a home collection, with patterns designed in one piece. A design with no waste because craftsmanship is precious.
