Join The Book of Kin
The Book of Kin is a carefully curated selection of independent brands whose work is rooted in craft, ecological responsibility, and cultural integrity.
If you feel aligned with our values and approach, we invite you to learn more about becoming part of the Kin.
What being part of the Kin offers:
-
Your work appears in The Book of Kin, an editorially curated directory that brings together practices rooted in care, craft and ecological responsibility. It is read by an international community seeking depth, context, and long-term thinking around clothing culture.
This includes:
• a considered profile in the Kin directory
• inclusion in our growing Kin archive
• visibility within the editorial context of The Lissome -
The Book of Kin is not advertising. It is a curatorial framework in which practices are valued for their thinking, material intelligence and way of working.
Where it feels meaningful and aligned, Kin members may also appear through:
• conversations or studio practice stories
• thematic fashion editorials
• print or digital storytelling within our ecosystemThese features emerge through relationship and relevance, not obligation or promotion.
-
Being part of Kin also means being part of a small, loosely connected group of makers, designers, and thinkers who care about how clothing is made and why it matters.
It’s a place shaped by shared values, mutual respect, and a belief in slower, more considered ways of working.
The Book of Kin is for independent brands, designers and makers who:
• work with a strong sense of craft and material integrity
• take ecological and social responsibility seriously
• value transparency over marketing claims
• care deeply about how, where and why things are made
• see their work as part of a broader cultural shift
We work with clothing, accessories, jewellery, homeware, textile, fibre, and workshop-based practices.
Our Values & Guidelines:
The Book of Kin is intentionally selective. If your work is grounded in integrity, transparency and a serious commitment to craft and ecological responsibility, you’ll likely feel at home here.
